Cameron Manion is director and producer based between Berlin and Sydney.
Short films he has produced and directed have gone on to screen in festivals around the world. Recent projects include producing and directing Ring Around alongside Sisi Stringer, a Tropfest finalist for 2026, and producing Heel Turn, selected for Mardi Gras Film Festival 2026. He is currently producing 4 short films across a spectrum of marginalised voices, including working with Sundance alum Xochitl Enriquez-Mendoza on her sophomore film and working alongside three reality-tv stars in their step into scripted film. He is also in development for a feature Australian gothic horror documentary.
Past projects include producing the short 21 (Cannes Art Film Festival), assisting on feature documentary David Stratton: A Cinematic Life (Cannes Film Festival: Cannes Classics) and directing short Black Dog (Golden Eye Festival: Best Experimental Film).
Music videos he has directed and produced have featured in Kaltblut, Electronic North and premiered on Australia's national television music show, Rage. Editing work has appeared in Vogue Australia for Italian Design Day. Advertising clients include Wolt, Sunwarrior, Aperol, Ray White and two years as a director and art director for Amazon Germany.
He is currently studying the Masters of Screen Arts at the Australian Film, Television and Radio School. While there, he is focusing on ways surrealism, magical realism and horror can be utilised to bring a more exciting, diverse Australian screen landscape to the world.
