Cognition is an early art film exploring language and the creation of meaning, as well as the influence of language on the perception of reality. Using stop motion, watercolours, experimental film and digital film the piece follows a personal journey of understanding through the metaphor of colour.

Though an early student work the film showcases the ability to play with colours and experiement with editing styles - in particular colour keying and time lapse editing.
